The brains behind NQ’s Rock’n Country is local Mackay businessman, Geoff Baguley, a determined country music fan who believes it shouldn’t be the case that there are no major country festivals in the north. “Country music is getting bigger and bigger all the time and us North Queenslanders want to see Australia’s best acts without having to travel south.”
Geoff is also a passionate long-term supporter of Variety – the Children’s Charity and its annual Variety Bash.“Looking after Queensland kids is what Variety is all about, says Geoff. “I couldn’t think of a better charity to support than one that looks after our kids.”
